of the book Manolis Andronikos. Texts on Art, which took place at the Macedonian
Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki, on April 26, 2002.
The book Manolis Andronikos. Texts on Art, edited by Angeliki Sachini, was the first of the Art Library series with which the Association of Greek Art Critics aims to preserve and promote the critical work of distinguished members of the Greek intellectual community. The presentation of the book was organized jointly by the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and the Association of Greek Art Critics. The Association of Greek Art Critics wishes to thank the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art for its valuable contribution to this event which gave the opportunity for a new reading and reappraisal of the art-critical work of Andronikos, in the place where his activities were instrumental in reviving the art scene — Thessaloniki. Our
sincere thanks to the authors and speakers whose contributions have provided,
through this volume, an exquisite specimen of intellectual discourse between
